For some time Passier has been able to offer its customers two different types of saddle trees: The Passier PS wooden saddle tree, proven for decades, which is used in traditional Passier saddles and the Passier synthetic saddle tree used in its own saddle line. The saddles with a PS tree are made in seven different sizes from 16" up to 19" The saddles with a synthetic tree are made in three sizes, ie 16.5" to 17.5". The different sizes of both types can be combined. For example it is possible to make a 17" saddle with saddle flaps in the size 17.5" or vice versa for an additionalcharge. Also, the individual confirmation of the horses can be taken into consideration. It is possible to fit the gullet plates individually to the horse's withers with both saddle trees. Because of the cutback pommel the normal tree width fits about 90% of the horses. The saddles with PS-trees are available in black, havana, browm London (natural) and olive. Saddles with the synthetic tree are available in black and havana brown. Measuring the Horse and Saddle It is very important that your new saddle fits your horse properly with allowance given for the riders weight. Fred Schuitemaker uses the Saddletech Gauge, the first calibrated instrument to measure the 3-dimensional shape of the horse's back and the saddle. Find out more about the Saddletech System. Bridles Bridles are available with web leather or laced reins and custom made bridles can also be ordered. |
